⚠ THE CHRISTMAS DINNER IS REGIONAL, AND THAT IS THE POINT. RIBBE — pork belly with crackling — in the east and around Oslo; PINNEKJØTT in the west and increasingly everywhere; LUTEFISK in some households and districts; COD in parts of the coast and the south. Then: medisterkaker, julepølse, surkål, rørte tyttebær, potatoes; RISENGRYNSGRØT with the hidden almond at lunchtime on the 24th and RISKREM with red sauce after dinner; MULTEKREM; the seven sorts of biscuit, krumkake, sandkaker, fattigmann, sirupssnipper, goro, berlinerkranser, serinakaker; gløgg, juleøl and akevitt.
