FUESENT, the carnival, with Verwurelter and the Cavalcade at Diekirch; BRETZELSONNDEG; the ECHTERNACH hopping procession on Whit Tuesday; NATIONAL DAY on 23 June, the Grand Duke’s official birthday, with the evening before given to fireworks, street food and Crémant; the SCHUEBERFOUER from late August, a fair dating to 1340, with its fried fish, Gromperekichelcher and Fouersfësch; the Mäertchen and the grape harvest festivals on the Moselle; and Christmas with the markets and Gebotschen.
