Danish Snaps and Akvavit

Specialised

Grain or potato spirit flavoured with caraway, dill, St John’s wort or other herbs, drunk cold in small glasses with herring and with the cold table, with a song before each round at a proper lunch. Aalborg is the historic producer and household infusions — snapse made on the windowsill from herbs picked in season — are a living practice. ⚠ RECORDED AS FOODWAYS, NOT AS A PURCHASING RECOMMENDATION.
