Argentina’s Regions — a note

Comparison

⚠ A WARNING ROW. Argentina is 23 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, running from the tropics to Cape Horn, and its food is not one thing. NORTHWEST — Andean, maize, peppers, empanadas, tamales, the oldest agriculture in the country. CUYO — irrigated desert, vines, olives. LITORAL and NORTHEAST — rivers, mate, cassava, Guaraní. CHACO — dry forest and Indigenous peoples. PAMPAS — cattle, wheat and the cities. PATAGONIA — sheep, Mapuche, Welsh, fruit and the Andean lakes. ⚠ THE AUTONOMOUS CITY OF BUENOS AIRES AND BUENOS AIRES PROVINCE ARE DIFFERENT UNITS and are kept apart. ⚠ ASADO AND MATE ARE NOT THE WHOLE CUISINE, and Buenos Aires is not Argentina.
