Rivers as roads — the Amazon, Marañón, Ucayali, Huallaga, Napo; cassava in bitter and sweet forms, plantain, rice; river fish including PAICHE, one of the largest freshwater fish anywhere and now farmed as well as fished, plus doncella, gamitana and boquichico; camu camu, aguaje, cocona, copoazú; chonta palm heart; JUANE wrapped in bijao leaf; tacacho con cecina; and the masato cassava beverage. IQUITOS, Pucallpa, Tarapoto and Moyobamba.
