Local
Two square kilometres, and the differences within them matter. MONACO-VILLE, the Rock — the old town, the Palace, the cathedral, and where the Monégasque community and its food are most concentrated. LA CONDAMINE — the port quarter and the Marché de la Condamine, the working food market and the place to eat barbagiuan and socca. MONTE-CARLO — the Casino quarter, built from the 1860s, and the international luxury restaurant economy. FONTVIEILLE — land reclaimed from the sea from the 1970s, with the second port. Plus Larvotto, Moneghetti, Les Révoires, Saint-Roman and the Jardin Exotique.
