SAINTE DÉVOTE on 27 January, the patron saint, whose boat is burned on the harbour front at night — the principal Monegasque community occasion; the FÊTE NATIONALE on 19 November, the Sovereign Prince’s day, with barbagiuan and public feasting; U CAVAGNETU, the picnic of Saint John in June with the bonfire and the olive branch; and Christmas with fougasse monégasque and the placing of an olive branch dipped in wine by the youngest and oldest at table.
