A comparatively small and recent community, concentrated in the New York and Chicago areas and in Washington State and Oregon — including a significant evangelical Christian migration from the 1990s — alongside the much older and larger Bessarabian Jewish emigration of 1900-1920 whose descendants are part of American Jewish, not Moldovan, community life. ⚠ NOT EVERY EASTERN EUROPEAN RESTAURANT IS MOLDOVAN.
