Flemish Brabant and the Pajottenland

Subregional

LEUVEN, a university and brewing city โ€” Stella Artois traces to a brewery documented from 1366 โ€” and, west of Brussels, the PAJOTTENLAND, the only place on earth where LAMBIC is traditionally brewed, because the wild yeasts and bacteria of the Senne valley air are what ferment it. Also Hoegaarden and the witbier revival, Tienen and sugar beet, and Hageland vineyards.
