Nafarroako sukaldaritza
Regional
The food of Navarre, from Pyrenean valleys to the Ebro: piquillo peppers and white asparagus from the Ribera, artichokes, borage and the vegetable cookery of Tudela, lamb and chilindrón, txistorra, sheep cheese from Roncal, wine and pacharán. ⚠ ITS OWN SYSTEM, related to Basque foodways in its Basque-speaking north and to Aragonese and Riojan cooking in its south — not a subdivision of either.
Languages: Basque, Spanish
Navarre is the fourth southern province of the cultural region AND a separate autonomous community that is not part of Euskadi. It is joined by an edge rather than filed underneath.
Navarre holds Basque-speaking valleys in its north and Ebro farming country in its south; the relationship is real and partial.
