Lefse

Lefse

Specialised

A soft thin griddle bread, and โš  NOT ONE THING: potetlefse of potato, flour and cream, thin and folded round butter and sugar; tjukklefse, thick and soft; mรธsbrรธmlefse from Salten, spread with brown whey sauce; hardangerlefse; nordlandslefse; lompe, the small plain potato lefse that wraps a hot dog. Each district has its own and they are not interchangeable, which is why they are stored as a family rather than merged.
