Colombian Fruit

Specialised

Colombia’s altitude and latitude range give it one of the widest fruit inventories anywhere, and most of it is DRUNK. LULO (naranjilla) — the sour green-fleshed defining juice. GUANÁBANA, MARACUYÁ, CURUBA, GRANADILLA, GULUPA, TOMATE DE ÁRBOL, FEIJOA, mora de Castilla, uchuva, borojó, zapote, níspero, mamoncillo, corozo, guayaba (and its BOCADILLO paste from Vélez), chontaduro, and the Amazonian ARAZÁ, COPOAZÚ, camu camu, cocona and umarí. ⚠ MOST OF THESE HAVE NO ENGLISH NAME because they have never been exported, which is itself the point.
