A calendar unusually full of named food days: Fettisdagen (semla), Våffeldagen on 25 March, Easter, Valborg on 30 April, Midsummer, the crayfish season from August and surströmming premiere in the third week, the Skåne goose at Mårten Gås on 10 November, Kanelbullens dag on 4 October, Lucia on 13 December, and Christmas. Thursday pea soup and pancakes runs through all of it.
