Collectivisation ended the household farm that most of this food came from; lignite mining destroyed well over a hundred villages, many Sorbian, moving their people into new towns. The state funded Sorbian institutions and folklore while the economy dismantled the village life the food belonged to โ both are true and both are recorded.
