Monte Titano and the Sammarinese Landscape

Mountain

A limestone massif rising to 739 m out of the Romagnol plain, with three summits and three towers, inscribed by UNESCO in 2008. Its slopes are terraced and south-facing where the vines and olives are; its woods hold truffles, mushrooms, chestnuts and game; and the whole territory is 61 square kilometres of hill between the Ausa, Marano and San Marino streams. โš  NO COASTLINE: the Adriatic is about 10 km away and San Marino has never reached it.
