The meal of Guyanese Hindu religious occasions — weddings, prayers, pujas, thanksgivings — in which seven vegetarian curries are laid around rice or dhal puri on a water-lily leaf. ⚠ WHICH SEVEN VARIES: catahar (young jackfruit), bora (long bean), balange/eddo, pumpkin, aloo, channa, dhal, mango, karaila and bhaji all appear, and no fixed list is recorded here as definitive.
