Sixty per cent of Paraguay and under three per cent of its people: Presidente Hayes, Boquerón and Alto Paraguay. Dry thorn forest — the Gran Chaco, one of the fastest-deforesting places on earth — with algarrobo and mistol pods, palm hearts, honey, game and gathered forest foods; enormous CATTLE ranching; the MENNONITE colonies at Filadelfia, Loma Plata and Neuland with their dairy industry; and the highest concentration of INDIGENOUS PEOPLES in the country — Nivaclé, Enlhet, Enxet, Ayoreo, Chamacoco, Angaité, Sanapaná, Maká, Guaná, Manjui and others.
