SINTERKLAAS on 6 December with speculaas, marzipan, chocolate letters and mandarins; CARNIVAL, above all at BINCHE where the Gilles throw oranges and which is on the UNESCO list, and at Aalst and Malmedy; Easter with lamb and eggs; Christmas with game, seafood and the bûche; and the kermis and abbey festivals with their own fried foods. ⚠ NO SINGLE NATIONAL CARNIVAL MENU — Binche and Aalst are not doing the same thing.
