Around 300,000 Danes emigrated between 1850 and 1930, most to the United States, with smaller streams to Canada, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand — including the Mormon migration from Denmark to Utah, which was proportionally one of the largest Scandinavian religious migrations. Modern movement is largely intra-European and professional.
