STAATSFEIERTAG on 15 August, when the whole country is invited to the castle garden and the Prince serves beer — an unusually literal national food event; FASNACHT with its Fasnachtschüechli and Berliner and its village Guggenmusik; the ALPABTRIEB in September; Christmas baking; and the Catholic calendar, Liechtenstein being overwhelmingly Roman Catholic, with its saints’ days and church suppers.
