Belgian Luxembourg Foodways

Subregional

โš โš  THE BELGIAN PROVINCE, NOT THE COUNTRY. Belgiumโ€™s largest and least populated province, taking in most of the Belgian Ardennes: ARLON, Bastogne, Bouillon, Durbuy, La Roche-en-Ardenne, Marche-en-Famenne, Houffalize, Saint-Hubert. Ardennes ham, game and wild boar, forest mushrooms, trout, pork and potatoes, Orval and the abbey breweries, and maitrank at Arlon in spring. The province and the Grand Duchy were one duchy until the partition of 1839, which is why the food is so close and why the two must not be merged.
